It all started with a little, yellow ball python named Cornelius… What began as a hesitancy to work with snakes turned into a passion for keeping and sharing reptiles. The maker behind My Life With Snakes is a hobbyist keeper and aspiring educator named Briar! Briar keeps a variety of species and especially has a soft spot for the Antaresia and Morelia genuses.

Prior to working with snakes, Briar ran a small business making specialty, handcrafted beaded jewelry as well as obtained an undergraduate degree in theatre arts, with a specialization in design. They decided to culminate their prior loves and experiences into one project and created My Life With Snakes! We are a small business focused on bringing beaded jewelry and keychains to life that are inspired by our scaly friends. Our goal for each piece is to spark joy and bring a twinkle of nostalgia into the lives of those they find their way into.

In addition to crafting one of a kind momentos, My Life With Snakes is happy to provide public and educational experiences with reptiles. During events, we bring an ambassador animal with us to meet the public and help raise awareness. Our emphasis is on helping to de-stigmatize these incredible animals. Each interaction is a chance to form positive experiences and grow in our mutual understanding of nature’s wonders.
